Gold in spirit.
Not in a vault.

This new token has no physical gold backing, gold-price peg, or redemption rights. It takes inspiration from e-gold’s place in internet history.

1996HELLO, DIGITAL GOLD.

Before the first block.

e-gold brought gold-denominated payments to the web in 1996. Balances moved between accounts while the metal stayed in custody.

THE ETHEREUM EDITION

The idea, without the fine print.

An independent token inspired by e-gold’s early internet story. The intended network is Ethereum mainnet. This website explains the concept; it does not currently connect to wallets, trade tokens, or submit transactions.

Gold backing
None. No claim on bullion, no reserve, and no gold redemption.
Token price
No gold-price peg. If a trading market is created, the price can move independently of gold.
Contract & supply
Not provided yet. The token standard, supply, issuance rules, fees, and administrator permissions still need to be confirmed from the deployed contract.
Buying & selling
No verified contract address or trading pool has been provided. There is no buy link in this preview.
Transfers on Ethereum
A compatible token transfer is signed in a wallet, submitted to Ethereum, and updates token balances when successfully executed. Gas is paid in ETH. A transfer does not move physical gold.
Transparency
A published, verified contract would let visitors inspect supply, transfers, and available permissions. An on-chain record alone does not establish gold backing or contract safety.

The original e-gold

Launched in 1996, e-gold was a centralized digital currency backed by precious metals. Users funded accounts, sent payments called “spends,” and could exchange out or request metal delivery under the service’s terms. Transfers were suspended in 2009 following legal issues. This project is not affiliated with that operator.
